The Spanish-American War in Hall County, 1898
THE SPANISH AMERICAN WAR
When the Spanish-American War came in 1898, Grand Island and Hall County had a company which answered the call and went forward. Co. "M", Second Nebraska Volunteer Infantry, was organized at Grand Island. It was mustered into United States service at Lincoln, Nebraska, May 12, 1898.
