ILLNESS FATAL TO HELEN ANDERSON
Miss Helen ANDERSON, 56, passed away Sunday at the home of her brother, Daniel C. ANDERSON, 1121 West Koenig street, terminating a long illness.
She had been ill for some time at Chicago when she came to Grand Island approximately a year ago to reside with her brother. She was a very fine tailoress and was employed for many years by a men's tailoring house in Chicago.
Miss Anderson was born in Denmark on Jan. 11, 1884.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Peter SCHNITZEN, York, and two brothers, Chris, Cedar Falls, Ia., and Daniel C., of Grand Island.
A number of friends paid their respects last evening at the Sowl Grosshans chapel. The body will be taken late this afternoon to Cadar Falls, Ia., where funeral services will be held at the Harry Brown chapel at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be in the Cedar Falls cemetery.

DEATH TAKES LENA LOCKETT ALBERTS
Mrs. Lena LOCKETT ALBERTS died at St. Luke's hospital at Pasadena, Cal., Apr. 9, following a lingering illness. Born in Grand Island Aug. 3, 1916, she was graduated from Senior high school with the class of 1934, and was a charter member of the "Lena Division 149" of the ladies auxillary of the Order of Railway Conductors which was named for her.
On June 5, 1937, in this city, she was married to Paul J. ALBERTS and resided here until last September when she and her husband moved to Altadena, Cal.
Funeral services were held Apr. 11 at the Wee Kirk o' the Heather chaple in Forest Lawn Memorial park at Glendale, Cal.
Surviving are her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. LOCKETT of Grand Island; two sisters, Mrs. Lera BOYD and Mrs. Don BARNES, both of Altadena, Cal., and one brother, Ira LOCKETT of Grand Island.

Lulu B. Andrews

Mrs. Lulu B. Andrews, wife of Albert L. Andrews, died Sunday morning in the family home at 2015 North Park. She had been in ill health for two years and seriously ill for the last two months.
Funeral services will be observed at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon in Gollaher Chapel at Tinity Methodist Church. Dr. Laurence Davis, pastor to the church, will officiate. Burial is to be in Grand Island Cemetery.
Members of Andrew Chapter No. 41 of the Order of Eastern Star will attend the services in a group and will conduct the requien rites of the order.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 o'clock Tuesday eveing at the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Mrs. Andrews was a lifelong resident of Central Nebraska. She was born June 10, 1886, at Marquette to Mr. and Mrs. J. William Herbig.
She and Carl M. Carlson were married Aug. 25, 1909, at Marquette. Soon after their marriage they moved to Dannebrog where Mr. Carlson was in the banking business. Later they lived at Phillips and at Doniphan. In 11935 they came to Grand Island when Mr. Carlson became an officer of the First National Bank. Mr. Carlson died here Oct. 2, 1938.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrews were married Dec. 15, 1946, in Grand Island. They went to Aurora to make their home. For several years Mr. Andrews was the sheriff of Hamilton County. In 1953 Mr. and Mrs. Andrews came to Grand Island to make their home.
Mrs. Andrews was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. She was affiliated with Andrew Chapter No. 41 of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, three children,m Mrs. Robert Starr Spangenberg and Wayne Carlson, both of Grand Island, and Aubrey Carlson of Mount Pleasant, Mich.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Martin Nelson, Los Angeles, Calif., six-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Besides her first husband, Mr. Carlson, and her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.
The family suggests memorials to the Cancer Fund.
