MRS. L. P. JONES TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. L. P. Jones, 70, a long time resident of Hordville, died at ten o'clock yesterday morning at a local hospital. She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Harry HASSEL, 2311 West Charles street, for the last five years.
Josephine BENSON was born in Sweden Sept. 13, 1869, coming to the United Staes in childhood. She married Louis JONES Nov. 4, 1887, at Hordville where they made their home until they came to this city in 1935.
Surviving are her husband, six sons, Charles of O'Neill; Reuben, Clarence and Harold at Orion, Ill.; Hilmer at Hordville and Lawrence, this city; four daughters, Mrs. Willard LINDBURG of Polk, Mrs. Reuben GUSTAFSON of Hordville, Mrs. John ERICKSIN of Hampton and Mrs. Harry HASSEL, 22 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral will be held at Hordville Thursday afternoon with a family service at the Gustafson home at one o'clock and services in the First Baptist church, of which Mrs. JONES was a member, at two o'clock.
