More Details Coming Soon

Much of the information found on the Hall County NEGenWeb site comes from "The History of Hall County," by Buechler, Barr, & Stough. The book was published in 1920 and is a comprehensive account of the first 73 years, (1857-1920), of Hall County.

It's a narrative of the Hall County, Nebraska pioneer period written and dedicated to those first thirty five settlers who came from Davenport, Iowa in 1857 in search of a home, and continues through those who served in defense of our country during World War I.

This 6' x 9' book contains 1,248 pages, 469 of history, 92 of World I Veterans, 396 pages of family biographies, photos, plus a general and biographical index. A new 51 page surname index has been added by members of the Prairie Pioneer Genealogical Society.

"The History of Hall County" is for sale through the genealogical society. If your ancestors settled here, passed through, or if you're interested in the history of our county, write to Joe Jackson, for details on how to order a copy for yourself. Please put "Hall County History" in your e-mail. Joe will be happy to get a copy sent to you.
